Titanium, heat, and craftsmanship — that's the entire concept of the Pure Ti.
Case, chapter ring, dial and case back are all hand-turned from grade 5 titanium on the lathe, then the dial, chapter ring and case back hand-torch coloured. That blue-to-violet shift across the dial isn't printed or plated. It's pulled straight out of the metal with heat, so no two ever end up quite the same. The linear brushed finish underneath keeps the finish from going too shiny or glassy, letting the color show without the glaze.
Simple as the dial looks, that's the part that's genuinely hard to get right. Nothing on it to hide behind, so every brush pass and every second under the torch has to work. Dark chrome hands carry BGW9 lume, and even the "Pure Ti" text is hand pad printed in a BGW9 infused white ink, so the logo glows as well.
The strap is Himeji Kurozan leather with urushi lacquered tips, old Japanese leatherwork on a case built with new skill, built one at a time, by hand, in a garage in Osaka.
Full Pure Ti Titanium Automatic specifications:
Dimensions: 41.5mm wide x 49.5mm lug to lug, 20mm lug width, 14.1mm thick on the wrist (including sapphire crystal in measurement).
Case: Handmade lathe turned Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium.
Movement: NH-35 automatic 3 hand movement with a 41 hour power reserve.
Water resistance: estimated low at 10ATM until we purchase a pressure tester that can exceed 10ATM, however these utilize a 20ATM capable 0.8mm rear compression gasketed with triple screw down crowns so we suspect they'll perform at a much higher ATM rating, we just can't confirm the numbers yet.
Crystal: thick double domed and high chamfered sapphire crystal with blue tinge anti-reflection coating.
Dial: In-house hand made, hand brushed and hand torched titanium design with dark chrome hands. Hand pad printed font work with a BGW9 infused paint for a lumed logo.
Crown: 7mm Aevum double-wrench artwork and high grip knurled crown. Screw down triple gasket design.
Case back: Handmade lathe turned screw down case back with hand torched blue finish that locks down a 0.8mm compression gasket for water resistance.
Leather strap: The Pure Ti Titanium Automatic comes with one 100% handmade by us in-house Japanese urushi tipped leather strap with quick release spring bars. It is tapered from 20mm to 18mm at the laser engraved Aevum buckle.
Carry case: All Pure Ti Titanium Automatics come with a ABS plastic travel box with a custom in-house laser engraved top plate.
